Melissa Ingram is an improvisational and intuitive painter, creating abstract paintings with layers and textures of vibrant colors.  She works with acrylics and mixed media on both canvas and paper. She has shown in Kansas, Missouri, New York City, and North Carolina.  Ingram has a BA in Studio Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and studied art and culture while residing in New York City, Brazil, Europe and Southeast Asia.  

   Another angle of influence began with her witnessing the profound restorative power of the arts while working in New York City’s rehabilitation hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. Her work is also informed by 20 years of training and practice in energy healing. She continues to be intrigued by the mysteries of creative spirit, the flows of energy and inspiration, and the healing power of art.
